Throughout May we will be running Open Water Diver classes with a view to getting students ready to complete their check-out dives aboard the Great Lakes Diver on weekends in June and July.

This month, if you are already a certified diver and you refer a student to us you can come out and dive with them on their last two (of four) check-out dives… for free! Alternatively, if you are a student of ours and have a friend who is certified, bring them along on your last two (of four) check-out dives… for free!

Either way, we introduce new students to the underwater world, you gain a dive buddy, you get a free charter worth $95, our instructors get to teach classes out on the wrecks in Lake Huron, and everyone’s happy!

Happy New Year! We hope you are all keeping warm and are not missing compressed air too much! The Third Coast Divers and Michigan Lake Diver’s Association are keeping very active over the winter, with lots of river diving going on. Get in touch with their members if you would like to get some winter dives in too.

We have just launched our new online store, we have lots of new stock in our real store, lots of used rental equipment on special and several trips planned for later in the year, so we hope to see you soon!

This month we are most excited about our ice diving class and the Great Lakes Shipwreck Festival – see below for further details. Later in 2010 we are looking forward to our April trip to Costa Rica, getting The Great Lakes Diver back in the water (and our early season trip to Thunder Bay) and The Ultimate Diver Challenge on the beautiful island of Cozumel during July. Don’t be a stranger!

Great Lakes Diver 2010 Season Tickets

Posted on January 21, '10 by Rick Davies. 2 comments

A season’s worth of dives for $750! Provided you are certified, you could come out every trip – that’s four dives on Saturday and three on Sunday every weekend for 4-5 months (weather dependent). Do the math; it’s a substantial saving even if you only come out four weekends! If you have a big thick wetsuit or even a drysuit you could rack up a whole bunch of dives over the summer. Become a Great Lakes Diver!
